On an unusually sunny and warm Sunday, 20 teams of triples from clubs covering local ones and clubs as far away as Stamford Bridge gathered with a good number of supporters. A good number of South Cliff Club members turned up to help - in the kitchen, setting the green, scoring, dealing with the raffle, collecting and playing . The 20 teams played matches of 40 minutes duration before moving on to another match. In all each team played 4 matches.

Organiser, Pauline T was delighted to report that the event had been very successful. She has received a number of messages saying how much people had enjoyed the day and were very complimentary about the food.

The winners were Pat Lawry and team with South Cliff’s Tom, Heather and Peter B coming second. The event raised over £500 for the Club funds. Pauline was delighted with the number of club members who helped out on the day with all pulling together. A special thanks to Wendy S & James with their team in the catering, Bill who collected the money and Joyce who spent the day recording the scores.
