Some 26 members assembled on a blustery and very cool afternoon. New Chairman Alan welcomed all and thanked the members who had worked throughout the closed season preparing the green and surrounds. He also referenced the forthcoming First Aid course, the first friendly of the season and the practice sessions from Monday & Wednesday ahead of the League fixtures starting.

Members played two one hour matches separated by tea, coffee and cake made by Mel. The final outcome saw the team of Chris T, Maria S & Tom R win by one shot from Mike G's team and were presented with a suitable chocolate reward!

Despite the cold and wind all seemed to have enjoyed the first venture on the Green. New member Lynne spoke of how much she had enjoyed the afternoon - the support, instruction and good humour of the members was much appreciated.
