Men’s Singles Semi-Finals

Down to the last four. First to 21 shots. Phil M & Robbie G played each other and the other fixture saw Vernon C against Tom R. Phil was in superb form running out a 21-5 winner where he will play Vernon who was 5 shots behind after 6 ends. He overtook Tom after 9. After 17 ends Vernon led by 4 shots. End 18 saw it all tied at 17 apiece. 6 ends followed, there was some excellent bowling and no end yielded more than a one shot victory. After 21 ends Vernon needed just one shot to reach the final. The gap narrowed after 23 ends from 3 to 1 shot - 19-20. End 24 saw Vernon gain the required one shot. It was an excellent contest thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators. We await tomorrow’s final with much anticipation.
